Hello, and welcome
I'm Adam, and I run this travel-inspired corner of the internet.
The Shoestring Travel Club is a small, opinion-led travel project I put together to make it easier to go away more often, without having to spend a fortune or put normal life on hold to do that.
That means I’m not interested in sharing instagram-perfect trips, luxury everything, or saving all year for one big holiday or 3 month backpacking trip. What I enjoy is finding short, affordable trips that actually fit around work, weekends, and real calendars.
After all, why go away once for thousands when you can just nip off for a few days, have a great time, come back and then do it all again in a week or so?
That's the idea this club is built around!

What do club members
get?
Members get everything: hand-picked standout flight finds, fully built trips (with flights and accom), travel maps (of places to book trips for, see if you're already in-country and to possibly avoid) and travel articles with tips and opinionated advice
How often do new things
get posted?
Honestly? Only when I find or write something that's genuinely worth sharing. Members don't get bombarded with tonnes of generic stuff, it's all about properly thought and curated finds that I'd take myself, and thoughts I genuinely believe in
Where do you look for
flights and trips from?
Currently, I look for flights (and trips) departing from the UK and Ireland. No matter if you live in London, Edinburgh, Belfast or Cork, there should be flights and trips found that depart from somewhere on the same landmass you live on.
Where abouts do you look for
destinations and places?
Most destination finds that get uploaded to the travel maps are in countries that can feasibly be visited on a Shoestring-style trip (i.e. for only a few days and for an affordable amount). Naturally, this tends to mean most places are in and around Europe
Who is the club
perfect for?
The club is perfect for people who want to go away on more trips, but doing so around time in their calendar. If you're a professional and want to use your leave, a student who wants to travel between studies, or even someone with a remote job, this is the club for you!
Who is the club probably
not for?
People who are looking for long and / or expensive trips. If you're looking to spend thousands on a 2 week beach holiday or go backpacking around Asia for 3 months, this is not be the club to help you with those.
